I’ve been working on meal plans for toddlers and find that balancing nutrients can be tricky. Recently, I came across a study showing the benefits of incorporating more whole grains and veggies into their meals. I’m curious to hear how others manage this while keeping meals appealing for picky eaters.
But i totally get the struggle with picky eaters. One thing that’s worked for me is sneaking pureed veggies into sauces or dips — like adding spinach to a smoothie or blending carrots into tomato sauce. It’s surprising how much they don’t notice.
One thing that really helped me was making fun shapes with whole grain bread, like stars or animals, which engages them more. They don’t even notice the healthy stuff inside! Have you tried making their meals a bit more interactive?
It can definitely be tough getting toddlers to eat healthy! I’ve found that making a veggie-packed pizza with whole grain crust is a hit; they love helping me choose toppings. @franklin_m92, have you tried involving them in the meal prep?
