Finding Balance in Early Childhood Education Jobs

I’m really passionate about developmental play activities, but I’m starting to wonder how many of us struggle to balance curriculum demands with hands-on learning. Last week, I implemented a nature scavenger hunt that had my kids so engaged, but it got me thinking — how do we all find that sweet spot of meeting educational goals while still letting kids just be kids? What strategies have you all found helpful?

, this drives me nuts too! I recently used a weekly theme to tie in nature explorations while meeting curriculum goals. It’s a tightrope walk; I try to ensure the activities are engaging but structured enough to check off the essential boxes.
