I’ve been exploring different strategies for meal planning that ensure young children get the nutrients they need while also keeping it fun. For example, incorporating colorful fruits and veggies into meals not only looks appealing but also encourages healthier eating habits. How do you all approach creating balanced meals that cater to the dietary needs of kids? I’d love to share ideas and tools that have worked.
I totally get you! Making meals colorful really does help, like turning a plate into a rainbow party. I’ve found that involving kids in the cooking process makes them more excited about what’s on the table.
And involving kids in picking fruits and veggies can make meals exciting! What’s been their favorite dish so far? @sara_miller58.
Getting kids to help with meal prep can definitely make them more willing to try new things… I’ve found that when I let my little one pick out a fruit for dessert, they’re way more excited to eat their veggies first. Have you ever tried that with your kids, @emilyk23?
I like to sneak in whole grains too, like quinoa or brown rice. It’s a hit! What’s your go-to grain for meals?
